*Jennifer
Commissioned as Lay Chaplain. I am
honored to share with you that, after completing
sixteen weeks of training, I was commissioned on May
23, 2006, as a Lay Chaplain through the Community of
Hope. Community of Hope equips lay persons to
offer spiritual formation and to be involved in
pastoral care ministries as volunteers in area
hospitals, clinics, churches, hospices, and
elsewhere in the community. Community of Hope
began at St. Luke's Episcopal Hospital in Houston,
Texas, and has grown its presence throughout the
country.

*Children,
Go Where I Send Thee. You may have
read
my story; you may have heard my story in a
concert setting. So now, I've discerned the
next step, and I'm passionately pursuing it with all
that I am. Read the detail in my
April 20,
2006 Musing.
*New
Album Delayed. Recently, I
announced plans to have a Christmas album out in
Fall 2006. For a variety of reasons, that
scheduled release has proved too ambitious for me.
I still hope and intend to put together a collection
of my favorite Christmas hymns, but I regret that it
will unlikely be completed for this holiday season.
I'll keep you posted right here.
*Original
Song Wins Director's Award. On a
whim, I entered my song "My Soul Magnifies the Lord"
in Paramount Music's Christmas Edition of the
Nashville International Song & Lyric Competition.
I am delighted to share with you that I am honored to
have been awarded one of 20 Director's Awards!
*Hearts
on Pilgrimage.
Series Two: Continuing Your Journey: Hearts on
Pilgrimage is available for purchase. What
an honor for me to be included among Christian music
notables: Steven Curtis Chapman, Fernando Ortega, John Michael
Talbot, Michael Card, Nichole Nordeman, Jennifer Knapp, and
numerous others! Check out the
Hearts on Pilgrimage devotional series.
This is an audio series for the commuter, the
athlete, the soccer Mom, the wayward journeyer
(i.e., anyone!!) providing fifteen minutes of
devotional worship for each workday of the month.
Series Two includes six of my original songs.
